Fundraising

For the past 30 years the Ottawa Race Weekend (ORW) has made benevolence part of its mission, allowing the event to be used as a fundraising platform by a variety of charitable organizations. These organizations recruit participants to take part in the ORW events, who then raise pledges and create awareness to their cause throughout the Weekend.

The following is a list of criteria for charity designation:

All charitable groups are required to register with us prior to joining our list.

To register with the ORW as a Destination or Endorsed Charity please click here to apply for charity status and send to ORW by email (info@runottawa.ca) or by fax (613-234-5880).

Sorry but we have reached our limit for Endorsed Charities.  Please re-submit again next year commencing October 2010.  If you meet the requirements of having over 100 runners and would like to be listed as a “Destination Charity”  please call 613-234-2221

All charitable groups are required to submit a follow-up report to the ORW specifying the number of participants who entered and the amount of funds raised.
