Access to the Media Center, Finish Line area, and Media Vehicles will be limited to accredited media. Accreditation closes May 21, 2010.
Media credentials are limited and the Ottawa Race Weekend reserves the right to grant final media area assignments. Click here to fill out and submit the media accreditation form.
Please note: Ottawa Race Weekend will not reimburse travel or provide accommodations for any media covering the 2010 Ottawa Race Weekend.
News, Announcements and News Releases:
News and messages will be available in the Media Center throughout Race Weekend. Breaking news, information and race results are also available online at www.runottawa.com. To ensure you receive all news releases prior to the event, please email your name and contact information to the media relations contacts above or or fill out the accreditation form.
Media Dining:
Lunch will be served prior to the Media Availability at Aberdeen Pavilion on Friday, May 28th. Beverages and snack service will be provided throughout Race Weekend at the Media Center during the operational times listed above.
Operational Services:
Phones, Wi/Fi and wired Internet are available in the Media Center. Media relations personnel will be onsite to assist you.
Interviews and media availability:
Ottawa Race Weekend organizers, some elite athletes (to be announced), and other persons of interest (to be announced) will be available for one-on-one media interviews and photos on Friday, May 28 at 1:00 p.m. at the Pfizer Health and Fitness Expo in the Food Concession Area.
Interviews with organizers and other persons of interest can be arranged during the Race Weekend by speaking with media relations representatives in the Media Center or contacting Susan Marsh-Marconi prior to the Race Weekend.
Elite athlete interviews will be available upon request. No interviews will be permitted at the Start or Finish Lines on Race Day. The men’s and women’s champions along with President of Run Ottawa - John Halvorsen will be available following the 10K and marathon races in an area near the Finish Line. Media relations contacts will direct you to the area.
Race Day Services:
- Limited space is available on the men’s and women’s Media Vehicle for members of the media. To request space, please add a comment on the accreditation form.
- The first- and second-place finishers in both the men’s and women’s races – and the first Canadian man and woman – will be available for interviews and photos in an area near the Finish Line directly following the races and following the Awards ceremonies
